In a world where everyone can sense others and some have stronger and more purposeful mental abilities, Sera, whose mental gifts make it unsafe for her to allow others (besides her family) to know who and what she is, wonders what her future holds. This novel is a new thing for me. I liked the premise of a virgin hero (Sam) and he's really innocent and enamored by Harriet, a slightly older widow. A fifteen-year-old transfer student, who promptly earns the unflattering nickname “Twigo,” struggles to adjust to life in a new school where money rules.
